Mark Potkewitz is an attorney specializing in cybersecurity, market data, SaaS/hosted services, professional services, and software licensing agreements. He works with heavily-regulated financial services clients negotiating technology agreements, drafting standard form contracts and exhibits, training in-house attorneys and sourcing professionals, and advising on information security, legal, and regulatory risks in third-party relationships. Mark leads the firm’s US artificial intelligence adoption strategy and works with clients to develop bespoke solutions and processes to allow AI-enabled attorneys to scale client legal support.
He is an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at Brooklyn Law School and a Lecturer at Columbia University School of Professional Studies. He serves as co-chair of the AI Subcommittee of the New York City Bar Association’s Technology, Cyber, and Privacy Committee, a Law and Legal Innovation Fellow and the General Counsel of ForHumanity, a nonprofit focused on AI ethics, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Legal Technology at Ulster University. He is a former Director of the Legal Innovation Centre at Ulster University and a frequent speaker on law and technology, legal innovation, regulation and emerging technology.
Mark received his JD cum laude from Brooklyn Law School and his AB in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
