Brikena Simnica is a qualified lawyer (solicitor) based in London, advising clients on commercial contracts, financial services regulations, market data and privacy issues.

Brikena’s practice covers regulatory and compliance matters, including contract remediation projects and advice on the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) Guidelines on Outsourcing. Additionally, Brikena advises on a broad range of technology and commercial related vendor agreements, including agreements relating to software hosting and maintenance, on-premises software, intellectual property licensing, events and marketing agreements. Brikena has also advised clients on the data protection aspects of a wide range of transactions.

Brikena also has gained in-house experience on secondment to a market-leading financial services company.

Brikena completed her training contract at Bortstein Legal Group upon completing her LL.M. Legal Practice Course at BPP University and earned her undergraduate law degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. Prior to joining Bortstein Legal Group, Brikena participated in work placements/internships at banks and financial information providers in London.

Brikena is a member of the Society for Computers & Law. She is fluent in English and Albanian.
