Samantha Schonfeld is a senior attorney with deep in-house and law firm experience. She specializes in complex technology and commercial negotiations and the privacy, regulatory, and data security issues that accompany them. Over the last decade, she held senior roles at established financial services and media firms, as well as late-stage startups.
Having supported both the go-to-market side and the procurement side of organizations, Samantha has developed a unique understanding of the mentality of “the other side” in a negotiation. Her approach is to help organizations avoid a protracted sales cycle while effectively managing risk. She takes this business-friendly approach in advising clients on a wide array of legal issues, including privacy and data security, intellectual property, product development, healthcare, regulatory and compliance, marketing and social media, and public affairs.
Before moving in-house, Samantha practiced at Weil, Gotshal & Manges for six years, where she specialized in intellectual property and complex commercial litigation — and learned the art of litigation avoidance. Samantha began her career as a law clerk in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for Chief Judge James T. Giles. She is a graduate of Yale College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
