Anna Costanza Casonato is a trainee solicitor in the London office of Bortstein Legal Group. Prior to becoming a trainee solicitor, Anna was a paralegal at the firm, working on a variety of data protection and commercial matters, such as the review and negotiation of data processing agreements, master services agreements and franchise agreements. Anna also has been closely involved with various regulatory remediation projects in relation to the European Banking Authority (EBA) Outsourcing Guidelines, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Standard Contractual Clauses.

With proven excellent interpersonal skills, Anna combines determination with strong problem-solving and analysis skills to advise clients on contractual and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Bortstein Legal Group, Anna worked in-house at the artificial intelligence platform for legal services Luminance, where she reviewed and analysed various types of contracts to refine the workings of the company’s AI based products, and at fintech company Fintract Global, where she provided regulatory compliance and legal consultancy in relation to the company’s SaaS and BaaS services for financial institutions.

Anna studied for the Graduate Diploma in Law and the LPC at BPP University, London. Before that, Anna studied International Relations at King’s College London, taking part in Model United Nations events in New York and at Yale University.

Anna is fluent in English and Italian, speaks Spanish to an advanced level and is competent in French. Anna is an accomplished equestrian and has represented Italy in internal showjumping competitions.
